Some new old paintings

So I decided that however busy I am I will post some new paintings on my blog regularly.

These new ones are actually old and I had painted them sometime in February . They are acrylic paintings depicting one of my favorite subjects namely Flowers

Well it is summer and you can see a host of different colors and species of flowers growing wild and in beautifully cultivated gardens. My favorites are Daisies as they are the happiest of flowers(That is a dialogue by Meg Ryan from 'You've got mail' I think) and in Februray I was really thinking of Tulips so here they are!

Some Indian Ink Sketches

I have been very busy and so I had to really find time to post on the blog but as promised I am sharing some of my figurative ink sketches and other acrylic paintings

The sketch on the right is a tribal girl from central India region sketched in Indian ink

The second one is a Tribal girl from the Rajasthan region or the desert region of India again in Indian Ink


Note the difference in attire and the very unusual bangles on the arms that look very similar to some African tribe's decorative jewelry

The next two ink sketches are of Victorian Ladies in the attire of those times
